RMS Career Program

Rosemary Middle School started the school year off with the exciting new CIS career program. Pictures of Rosemary Middle School students and career specialist, LaToya B. Gathers, piloting the new SCOIS Career Information System (CIS) display how well students responded to the new website for middle school by eagerly participating and making good choices. The students especially liked the reality check software, where they could choose the lifestyle they wanted by indicating such things as type of residence, car, and other luxuries. The reality check program was a great way for students to learn about which occupations and educational levels they would need to afford the chosen lifestyle. It also showed how making positive choices would help them attain a certain occupation. RMS has used the new CIS system to explore careers and salaries, as well as how to have better time management and budgeting future incomes.
