Wes Enjoys the Jungle Book
The students of Waccamaw Elementary School started their year with a real IB treat! The internationally known classic book: The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling was brought to life by the 2009 Summer Musical Theater Workshop from The Myrtle Beach School of Performing Arts. They presented Disney's version of The Jungle Bookat WES on the first day of school. Thirty Horry County students and WES alumni Allister Bremner (playing Mowgli) entertained with song and dance as they presented a story which focused on many IB character attributes such as: communicator, caring, inquirer, knowledgeable, principled, open-minded and risk-taker. The MBSPA is under the direction of Christie Karavan. WES students and staff enjoyed the talents of these young dancers and singers, and the exciting story they shared!
