Rex Addresses School, Business Partnership
S.C. Superintendent of Education Dr. Jim Rex was the keynote speaker at a September 11 meeting at the J.B. Beck Administration and Education Center to promote building a strong state workforce through education and business partnerships. The conference was sponsored by Georgetown Kraft Credit Union and AT&T Advertising Solutions. Others speaking at the meeting were Georgetown County School District Superintendent Dr. Randy Dozier; Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce President Annette Fisher; Otis Rawl, President /CEO of the S.C. Chamber of Commerce; Jim Reynolds, CEO of Total Comfort of Columbia; and Robbie Barnett, Associate Vice President of Workforce Development and Education Policy with the S.C. Chamber of Commerce. Also attending the meeting were many representatives from the GCSD Teacher Forum, district principals and district staff.
