Teacher Forum Promotes Political Awareness

Georgetown County Teacher Forum members were delighted to have two very special guests during the Political Awareness Meeting Thursday, September 24. First, Dr. Dozier, along with his Cabinet, addressed comments and concerns submitted by teachers in our district. Kathy Maness from the Palmetto State Teacher’s Association addressed what teachers need to do when contacting the legislature. She also encouraged teachers to be politically active. Representative Vida Miller addressed the group and provided important information. She thanked teachers for the job they do. She said their voices really make a difference.
