CBMS Celebrates Grandparents Day

Carvers Bay Middle Principal Comeletia Pyatt recently welcomed more than 100 grandparents and grandchildren as they enjoyed the company of each other at the school. A delicious breakfast was served and enjoyed. Assistant Principal Lee Glover and Johanna Verner offered grandparents valuable information on Balanced Literacy and different ways to help their grandchildren. Other activities included grandchildren reading essays about grandparents; Heather Dennis reading a special grandparent poem; and Rosie Carnley sharing the history of Grandparents’ Day. The special time ended with more than 40 door prizes given. Grandparents and grandchildren laughed and had a fantastic day.
