Students Help Dedicate New Court House

Georgetown County School District students helped dedicate the county's new court house on Oct. 16. The Waccamaw High band played before the ceremony and singers from McDonald and Kensington elementary schools performed during the dedication. The new 80,000-square-foot building is only the third court house in Georgetown County's long history. Many state and local dignitaries braved the rainy weather and attended the event. The keynote speaker was S.C. Chief Justice Jean Toal.
