Area Schools Celebrate Veterans Day

Many schools in the Georgetown County School District celebrated Veterans Day on Nov. 11.  At Carvers Bay HIgh, the student body filled the gymnasium as veterans were recognized and honored.  The history of our nation's military branches of service were detailed.  The Carvers Bay High School MCJROTC led the ceremony and the school's band also performed. Also celebrating Veterans Day were Andrews High, Carvers Bay Middle, Georgetown High, Georgetown Middle, Rosemary Middle, Waccamaw High and Howard Optional schools.
