Kensington's Cox is GKCU Golden Apple Winner

Making a place of learning fun, exciting and comfortable is exactly what Golden Apple recipients do on a daily basis. This could not be any more evident than when you enter the media center at Kensington Elementary. With a generous smile and helpful attitude, Jenny Cox has created a learning space at KES that is enjoyed by faculty, students and parents alike. As the media specialist for the past two years, she goes above and beyond her duties to ensure that teachers and students have the resources they need to be successful. She even conducts technology workshops to help KES faculty with their web pages and other computer resources.
Cox was nominated by her principal at Kensington Elementary School and receives an award certificate, a golden apple pin and gift, and a cash prize.
 “She has made our media center ‘comfortable’ for everyone to enjoy professionally and personally,” said Principal Fedrick Cohens. Congratulations!
