McDonald Elementary Service Projects
Students at McDonald Elementary have been involved in two service projects recently to help our community. The McDonald Student Leaders led the projects. Each classroom collected Coins for Cancer, and by the end of the event the school’s goal was exceeded. During a recent Spirit Day, Principal Miriam Daniels presented a check for $525 to Cheryl Gause, a representative of the Georgetown County Cancer Society.
Also, McDonald students have been collecting cans of food for the Salvation Army. At the end of the drive, more than 1,300 cans had been collected. Students at McDonald are learning what it means to give and to help our community. Great job!
