Poster and Poetry Contest Winners

Jason Coakley, Regional Career Specialist of the Waccamaw Region, extends congratulations and a Certificate of Achievement to Georgetown County School District winners of the National Career Development Poetry and Poster Contest. These winners will now go on to the State finals. Below, Latoya Gathers, career specialist at Rosemary Middle School, placed second in the Open Adult Poetry Contest. Presented by Principal Michael Caviris, right, and Coakley. Bottom, Anna Damon won and Leslie Hewitt finished second in the Senior Category II Poster Contest. Both students are seniors at Georgetown High. Certificates are presented by Guidance Counselor Kim Finley, right, and Coakley. Judges for the event were: Maylene Baxley, retired regional career specialist; Mary Ella W. Greene, retired English teacher; Dohnree Cribb, retired English teacher; and Geni Greene, representative of The Regional Education Center. Congratulations!
