McDonald's Moore Wins Golden Apple

With initiative, dedication and a cooperative spirit, Cindy Moore has won the praises of the students, faculty and parents at McDonald Elementary School. She is the Georgetown County Golden Apple Award winner for January. As an instructional assistant in the special education program, Moore works hard each day to make sure the time she spends with her students is important. With dedication and commitment, she gives her full attention and focus to each student so they are her only concern during instructional time. In addition to helping in the classroom, Moore took the initiative to begin and coordinate the school’s box tops for education collection and the recycling program.

Moore was nominated by her principal, Miriam Daniels, and a co-worker at McDonald Elementary and receives an award certificate, a golden apple pin and gift, and a cash prize. McDonald teacher Grace George said "She is one of the hardest working people I’ve ever worked with and is the perfect addition to the list of recipients for the GKCU Golden Apple award. From left are Daniels, Georgetown Kraft Credit Union Marketing Director Nikki Ewing, and Moore. Congratulations!
