Kensington BEACH PSA to Air in May

Lights, camera, action ... hurricane awareness! The third grade BEACH class at Kensington Elementary School recently took part in the filming of a hurricane safety Public Service Announcement. The PSA focused on kids' mental health after a hurricane disaster. The students created their own posters of different feelings a child might experience after a hurricane hits. Then the students filmed their parts under the direction of Heather Pelham. The PSA will be aired on television during the hurricane season on local Time Warner Cable channels TNT, ESPN, CNN, Bravo and Nickelodeon, as well as local channel 22 (which runs on Southern Coastal Cable).
