Educators Among Those Honored at 25th Annual Banquet
The Eta Iota Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity held its 25th annual Awards Banquet April 17 at The Jerusalem Baptist Center in Andrews. Several local educators were among those honored. The event speaker was The Honorable Dr. Dudley Flood. Georgetown County School District Superintendent Dr. Randy Dozier was the recipient of the Education Award. Other recipients and the category in which they were recognized are: Rich Neal and Randy Ford, Male Image Award; Brantay Cohens, Ervin-Walker Scholarship; Freddie Hughie, Bigger and Better Business; and Samuel Marsh, Social Action. Alvin "Stitch" Walker gave the recognition of guests. Floyd Ruffin presented the welcome to the event. Andrews Mayor Rodney Giles presented greetings to those who attended the banquet.
