Andrews High's Newman Wins Golden Apple

Andrews High's Kendra Newman is the April Georgetown Kraft Credit Union Golden Apple winner. Newman, a Health Sciences teacher, helps others in their time of need. From organizing fundraisers like “Fischer’s Fight” to aid a co-worker’s ill son to “The Closet,” a room providing apparel for students at prom time, to the Blood Drive for the American Red Cross, Newman truly displays and teaches the Golden Rule every day at Andrews High and is an excellent role model for her school and community. Newman is shown with students and a check for $75.
