Gardner-Grate New PES Principal

Beverly Gardner-Grate has been named as the principal at Plantersville Elementary School. At at a brief meeting July 14, the Georgetown County School District Board of Education named Gardner-Grate as Plantersville Elementary's new principal, replacing Shawn Johnson who resigned at the end of the 2009-2010 school year. Gardner-Grate, a Georgetown County native, has been with the district 25 years. After 16 years at Brown's Ferry Elementary as a second grade teacher and curriculum specialist, she has spent the remainder of her time in the district at Pleasant Hill Elementary as a curriculum specialist and assistant administrator.
