Georgetown County School District Public Information Officer Ray White was recognized with three awards for photography in the annual Rewards for Excellence competition sponsored by the South Carolina Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association. The school public relations competition in South Carolina attracted 150 entries from a wide assortment of school districts, education agencies and organizations across the state.  Professionals who work in public relations and communications judged the entries.  Each entry was judged against the criteria of the program, not other entries. Dr. Jim Rex, state superintendent of education, said, “We place a high priority on excellence in communication with our citizens and these awards reflect our commitment and effort. We are proud to be honored by true experts in this field!”
