Three Football Home Openers Set for Friday

The 2010 high school football season opened last week but all four Georgetown County School District teams were on the road. Three of those teams have their home openers Friday, August 27. Andrews, which rolled to a 63-20 blowout win at Johnsonville last week, plays host to Mullins Friday at 7:30 p.m. Waccamaw, which easily shut out Latta 50-0 last week, will be at home against visiting St. James Friday at 7:30 p.m. Carvers Bay, which lost 13-6 in overtime at Timberland last week, plays host to Georgetown, a 22-2 loser at Mullins last week, Friday at 7:30 p.m. Georgetown will have its home opener Friday, Sept. 3, at 7:30 p.m. against Andrews.
