Upon graduating from Purdue University, DuBose served 3 years as an officer with the US Army, Corps of Engineers. Leaving the Army, he was recruited to Exxon Corporation (now Exxon Mobil) where he served in senior Human Resource leadership roles
In Refining (San Francisco, CA); Exploration and Production (Houston, TX); and Research and Engineering (Florham Park, NJ).

From Exxon, DuBose joined a start-up Management Consulting firm (Mainstream Access) as Managing Director, setting up the firm’s first Regional office in Detroit, MI.  Major clients were General Motors, Ford Motor Company and a variety of Automotive Suppliers.  Mainstream was eventually acquired by a larger, national Management Consulting firm, Right Management, where DuBose spent the next 30 years in a variety of senior management roles that included sales and marketing, operations, and product development..  In his last 10 years, before retiring at the end of 2021, DuBose was Senior Vice President, Key Executive Services, coaching Senior and C-Suite executives. 

DuBose is married to a wonderful Norwegian lady, Vivien, who became a US Citizen 25 years ago.  They have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren.
