Welcome to the Information Technology Department of Georgetown County School District. Our mission is to enhance student achievement by providing exceptional technology service and support to our students, teachers, administrators and staff. It is our belief that the use of technology accommodates a wide range of learning styles and levels for our students. Through various technological tools, students are challenged and motivated to problem solve, explore and learn in order to prepare themselves to live and work successfully in the twenty-first century.

The IT Department is responsible for the information backbone of GCSD. This includes installing, configuring and troubleshooting hardware and software for over 5000 computers, and numerous printers and scanners. We are also responsible for the installation and support of 96 district wide servers, which includes email, Internet, file and print sharing in addition to the numerous Cisco routers and switches.
