Students from Carvers Bay High School excelled at the SkillsUSA State Leadership & Skills Conference held on March 24-26, 2022, in Greenville. SkillsUSA South Carolina is a nonprofit education association serving middle, high and postsecondary students preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations.
Students recognized were: Savion Brown, first place, Prepared Speech; Jammie White, fourth place, Commercial Baking; and Joshua Earle, tenth place, Carpentry. Carvers Bay High’s SkillsUSA advisors are Perrie Funnye, Building & Construction; Robin White, Culinary Arts; and Terry Cox, Regional Advisor.
In addition, State Champion, Savion Brown, is eligible to compete at the National Leadership & Skills Conference to be held in Atlanta, Georgia in June.
