Georgetown County School District is proud to celebrate Waccamaw High School senior Aeryn Smith, who was recognized at the 10th Annual South Carolina STEM Signing Day.
Held at the South Carolina State House, this statewide event honors outstanding high school seniors who have committed to pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The ceremony recognizes students’ academic achievements and connects them with leaders in education and industry as they prepare for their next steps.
As part of this prestigious recognition, Aeryn was awarded a $2,500 scholarship in support of her future in STEM.
