Dr. Paula Anderson, Director of Georgetown County Adult Education

Dear Students, Staff, and Community,

It is with great excitement that I welcome you to a new school year at Georgetown County Adult Education! This year, our theme is “Rooted in Relationships, Rising to Success.” We believe that meaningful connections are the foundation for academic achievement, personal growth, and lifelong success.

Our vision is to create a safe, supportive learning environment where strong relationships are built, and every student is empowered to earn college- or career-ready credentials. By fostering trust, respect, and collaboration, we can ensure that every learner has the tools and confidence needed to reach their highest potential.

In alignment with this vision, our goal for the 2025–2026 school year is ambitious yet attainable: Increase the number of students earning college and career credentials by 50%.

We will achieve this through innovative instruction, personalized learning plans, expanded workforce partnerships, and a continued commitment to excellence. Whether you are working toward your high school diploma, preparing for the GED®, improving your literacy or math skills, or earning an industry-recognized credential, you are part of a community that is invested in your success.

I encourage you to embrace this year with determination, engage fully in your learning, and take advantage of the resources and support available to you. Together, we will grow stronger, aim higher, and achieve more than ever before.

Here’s to a year of growth, connection, and success!

Warm regards,

Dr. Paula Anderson
