SUN: Summer Nutrition Programs for Kids

When the school year ends, access to daily nutritious meals shouldn't stop. On average, 30 million children rely on USDA’s school breakfast and lunch programs during the school year—but kids need healthy food all year long to grow, learn, and thrive.

That’s why South Carolina and Georgetown County School District offer SUN Meals—free summer meals available at neighborhood schools across Georgetown County. With SUN Meals, children and teens 18 and under can enjoy healthy meals and snacks at no cost.

No application. No registration.
Just show up and enjoy a meal—and a smile—with friends in a safe, welcoming environment.

Some sites will also offer SUN Meals To-Go, which allow parents or guardians to pick up meals for their children.
