Holiday Movie Night

Use of effective instructional strategies not only enhances the learning of students but also makes the learning experience more engaging! We love to see and hear what our teachers are utilizing in their classrooms to make learning more memorable for our Colts.
📷 Snapshots of instructional strategies in action include:
🌟 Snowball with doubles facts practice: Students in 1st grade tossed a “snowball” with a doubles fact on it and then found a snowball tossed in their direction. They pick up the snowball and solve the problem and then toss again! ❄️ ⛄️
🌟 4 Corners student discourse strategy: Kindergarten students moved to different corners of the room to respond to questions and hold discussions about the topic.
🌟 Hands-up/Pair-up: Students in 5th grade used this strategy to pair up with one another to share their writing and provide ideas, feedback, and support to one another. After this, they then shared with the entire class to obtain feedback to enhance their writing.
