On March 27, our Rosemary 6th and 7th graders attended a kick-off celebration for GEAR UP SC!! GEAR UP SC is sponsored by the University of South Carolina College of Education. Over the next seven years, this powerful program will provide our students with the tools they need for academic success and post-secondary opportunities.
From college tours and leadership development to SAT/ACT prep and scholarship guidance, our GEAR UP Scholars are gaining access to resources that can shape their futures.

Rosemary Cobras participated in GCSD's annual Tech Fair, and WON BIG!!! 🏆 6 of our projects brought home a trophy!! Big shout out to these and all of our students who participated. We are so proud!! GO COBRAS!!! 🐍🥇🥈
After Spring Break, our students will jump right in to our annual state testing. Dates and subjects are listed below. Please make sure to have your student present, on time, and ready for these very important tests.

We are asking you to complete the 2025 Parent School Climate Survey. You can access the survey through Parent Portal on a browser or through the PowerSchool Mobile app. Please fill out the survey by Friday, April 4, 2025. If you have already completed the survey, we thank you!! If you need help, please call the school at (843) 264-9780.

1. Navigate to the PowerSchool App on your mobile phone and login if you're not already.
2. From the Dashboard, select “More”.
3. Click on “Forms”.
4. Click on the “2025 Parent and Guardian School Climate Survey” link.
5. Click the blue “survey questions” link to open, complete, and submit the form.

Dear Cobra Families,
This morning, Rosemary Middle School was briefly evacuated out of an abundance of caution due to a faint gas smell detected in the building. At the request of the Andrews Fire Department, we safely evacuated students and staff so emergency personnel could thoroughly investigate the source of the odor.
Students remained outside for approximately 20 minutes while the building was checked. The fire department and GCSD’s Facilities Department found no concerns; therefore, we received clearance to return to normal operations.
As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We appreciate the cooperation of our students and staff during the evacuation and thank the Andrews Fire Department for their quick response and support.
