GCSD lead nurse, Ashley McCall, is participating in the Public School Nurse Leadership Program, a new collaborative effort aimed at addressing the unique needs of school nurses. Created through a partnership between the University of South Carolina, the SC Department of Environmental Control, and the SC Department of Education, the leadership program is designed to help K-12 school nurses improve health services for students. The program offers in-person workshops where lead nurses learn leadership and management skills.
