At our school, kindness is more than just a word—it is a way of life. Every day, our Pandas show what it means to lead with compassion, encouragement, and respect. Whether it’s a smile in the hallway, helping a classmate, or offering a kind word, these small actions are shaping a positive school culture where everyone feels seen and valued.
Throughout the first semester, our Lighthouse Team has led the way in spreading kindness across our campus. With thoughtful planning and servant hearts, they focused on uplifting our faculty and staff in meaningful ways. From creating snack and drink stations to brighten busy days, to sharing words of encouragement that lifted spirits, their efforts made a lasting impact. They also took time to recognize and celebrate the many accomplishments happening throughout our school, reminding us all that every success—big or small—matters.
These acts of kindness are deeply connected to the leadership habits our students are learning through the Leader in Me program. As our Pandas practice being proactive, thinking win-win, and valuing others, kindness naturally becomes part of who they are. It is no longer just something we encourage—it is something our students live out daily.
One of the most exciting highlights of this year has been the formation and announcement of our very first Leader in Me Student Lighthouse Team. This group of student leaders represents the heart of our school and the future of our leadership journey. These students have stepped up to take ownership of our school culture, serving as role models and ambassadors of kindness for their peers.
Our Student Lighthouse Team will continue the important work started this semester by finding new ways to spread encouragement, celebrate achievements, and ensure every student and staff member feels appreciated. They will help lead initiatives, support school events, and keep the spirit of kindness strong in everything we do. Their leadership is not just about planning activities—it’s about inspiring others to lead with kindness in their own everyday actions.
The impact is already being felt. Our classrooms are filled with positivity, teamwork is growing, and our school community is stronger than ever. With the addition of our Student Lighthouse Team, we are building something even greater—a culture where student leadership and kindness go hand in hand.
As we look ahead, we are filled with excitement and anticipation. Our Pandas are proving that leadership starts with kindness, and that even the smallest actions can make a big difference. With our Student Lighthouse Team leading the way, the future is bright—and it is full of kindness.
