Georgetown County School District will host a Parent & Community Education Night in each attendance zone, with the first session taking place in Andrews. Andrews parents and community members are encouraged to attend, and all parents across the district are welcome.

This session will provide important information about youth vaping, the health risks associated with vaping, and current trends impacting students. Practical prevention strategies and resources available to parents and the community will be shared.

Join us for this important conversation as we work together to support healthy choices for our students. Additional education nights in other attendance zones will be announced soon.

What's for Lunch this Month?

We are so thankful for the generosity shown to Andrews Elementary School through our Angel Tree. A special thank-you to SixAxis for sponsoring toys for 30 of our students. In pictures posted are Doug Odum, COO of SixAxis, representing their incredible support with Shand Altman, AES School Counselor.

This effort was led by our wonderful parent volunteer, Meredith Blake (also pictured), and supported by generous donations from Mel’s Market, Ivy’s on Main, and many individual community sponsors.

This was truly a combined effort of SixAxis and the Angel Tree, and we are grateful for everyone who helped brighten the season for our students.

Our amazing SRO, Officer Wainscott, had a wonderful time reading and connecting with our PreK students during Books & Badges! This special program brings law enforcement officers and young learners together to foster a love of reading while building positive relationships in our community.

We love seeing our students’ faces light up as they enjoy stories with Officer Wainscott!
