A bit delayed, but we would like to extend our congratulations again to the CBBearBots!
The Team Coach Mr. Stephan Dukes had this to say about the season:
I wanted to let everyone know the final summary of how the CBBearBots performed this year. To help understand some of the information, I am going to give you a quick rundown of the game this year. Robots could score points for their team by either placing "coral" onto the scoring area or placing "algae" in the processer. Finally, during the endgame, robots had to "ascend from the ocean floor" by climbing a hanging metal cage.
CBBearBots made the playoffs in all 3 events this year. We were team captains for the playoffs twice, earning the 4th and 6th seed.
CBBearBots finished ranked 15th in the state overall. This did not qualify us for the World Championships. However, we ranked 10th in overall scoring in the state, the highest of any team from Georgetown County. We finished 1st in the state in both algae processing and and endgame scoring. Also, CBBearBots finish 7th in the world in algae processing! Great job to all of the CBBearBots for an amazing season!!! Go CBBearBots!!!
