Kidz in Lids Day is September 18, 2025. All donations will go to the Children's Cancer Partners of South Carolina and will benefit the families of Georgetown County children undergoing cancer treatment.
Students who pay $1 may where a "lid" to school on the 18th. Those who pay $5 will be able to wear a "lid" to school and receive a Kidz in Lids bracelet.

Thank you so much to all of the wonderful Grandparents who were able to attend our Grandparents' Day Lunches on Sept. 3rd and 4th. It was so special seeing all of the smiles on the faces of our students and their Grandparents. We are very appreciative to the families and Staff Members who donated deserts for our Grandparents' Desert Table.
Several of our KES classes assisted our GCSD Bus Drivers with practicing bus evacuations in case of an emergency this morning. Our students and Bus Drivers did a wonderful job!

September 2nd-5th, the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Kensington Elementary School! Students may shop during their Special Area time throughout the school day. We will stay open after school until 6pm on Tuesday (September 2nd) ONLY, and we will close down at 11 AM on Friday. We can't wait to see you in the Media Center next week!
Grandparents' Day is coming up and our Grandparents are invited to join us for lunch. Sept 3rd for PreK, 1st, 3rd, 5th grades, and SPED. Sept 4th for Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th Grades.
