At PHESA, Project-Based Learning gives our students meaningful choices in how they show what they know about the South Carolina State Standards — and 4th grade took it to the next level! Mrs. Stone kicked off their new PBL unit by mysteriously sharing clues about their upcoming challenge… and then asked students to do something powerful: create the title for their own learning journey! After brainstorming, narrowing their ideas down to two finalists, and voting as a class, the winning title was revealed. 🗳️🎉 Take a look at what they chose — and let the learning begin!

Our youngest PHESA innovators rolled up their sleeves and turned into real engineers today! After their Putt-Putt field study, students worked collaboratively to draw blueprints of the obstacles they saw on the course — curves, tunnels, ramps, and all!
Now they’re busy transforming those sketches into actual prototypes that will become part of our very own PHESA Putt-Putt Course! How cool is that?! 🤩 Hands-on learning, teamwork, creativity, and engineering all in Kindergarten — that’s the PHESA difference! 🐻💛

October is National Fire Prevention Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about fire safety through public education. In celebration, PHESA Beta Club wanted to show appreciation to our local firefighters for everything they do to protect and educate our community. ❤️👩🚒👨🚒
Our Beta members put their hearts into service by creating special handmade cards, baking delicious brownies, and personally delivering them to our local fire station. These acts of kindness remind us that recognizing and supporting our first responders is more than a kind gesture—it’s a civic duty.
Service and community support are at the heart of Beta Club’s mission, and our students continue to demonstrate what it means to be engaged citizens who lead with gratitude and compassion. 💙💛
