🎉 Grandparents Day at WES was a HUGE success! 🎉

Our amazing grandparents were showered with love and appreciation from our students last night. Each child made a sweet gift to share, then enjoyed cookies 🍪 and lemonade 🍋 with their grandparents. Many even stopped by the Book Fair together for some extra fun!

A BIG shoutout to our incredible PTO for organizing such a special event. Your hard work made the day unforgettable, and the smiles said it all! 🥰

🌍❤️ Hearts Across the World at WES! ❤️🌍 We’re thrilled to share an exciting project that has brought so much joy and engagement to our PreK-4 students at Waccamaw Elementary! 🎉 Our class partnered with the Wayne Board of Education's Preakness Early Childhood Center (ECC) in New Jersey to participate in the Hearts Across the World project. This incredible collaboration allowed our students to connect with preschoolers across state lines—putting WES from South Carolina on the map in New Jersey! 🗺️✨ Through the project’s website, our students explored pictures of the ECC building and their preschool friends. Their reactions were priceless! 🤩 The excitement of seeing another school and making connections beyond our community was truly special. And the best part? We received a response back! 🎉 The students at ECC sent us a message, and it absolutely made our day! ❤️ Seeing their appreciation and knowing our hearts made an impact was such a meaningful experience. We can’t wait to continue this partnership and see where it takes us next! #gcsdheartofkindness
