The South Carolina Football Hall of Fame (SCFHOF) announced the 2025 Bridge Builder Excellence Award nominees, presented by Spinx Corporation on February 25. Adrian Grate Jr. was among the nominees*. What an honor! What a deserving young man!
The following is from the press release: The Bridge Builder Excellence Award is presented to a current high school football player in the state of South Carolina who embodies excellence in the community, in the classroom, and on the field. The Top 3 nominees will be recognized at the 12th annual Enshrinement at Hotel Hartness on April 17, 2025.
Award Criteria:
• Football excellence = 40%
• Academics (Minimum 3.2 Core GPA) = 30%
• Exemplary School, Character, Community Citizenship, and Leadership = 30%
Each nominee will receive a certificate of recognition for their accomplishments, be invited to celebrate #BBEA25Day on their social media platforms and in person, along with participation in the South Carolina College Decision Day at the statehouse on May 7, 2025. In addition, the top 10 Semi-Finalists will be invited to share their secrets to excellence and success on the SCFHOF Sports & Leadership Podcast with SCFHOF Chairman David Wyatt.
This year, the SCFHOF received an impressive 58 nominations from across the state of South Carolina, highlighting the incredible young leaders making a difference in their schools and communities. These leaders, families, schools and communities are embodying the SCFHOF’s mission to lead, educate, and inspire through football.
