(Georgetown, SC) - Georgetown County School District is pleased to announce that Nicole Tucker-Young has been named Principal of Carvers Bay Early College and Career High School (CBECCHS), effective July 1, 2025. She has served as the school’s Interim Principal since June 2024.
“As a proud graduate of Carvers Bay, Mrs. Tucker-Young embodies the spirit, heart, and excellence we strive to nurture in every student,” said Superintendent Dr. Bethany A. Giles. “Her passion for our community, her unwavering dedication to student growth, and her belief in what’s possible align seamlessly in her role as the leader of the Bears.”
Tucker-Young began her career in Georgetown County as a Global Career Specialist and later expanded her experience in North Carolina, where she served as a Family and Consumer Science teacher at Lumberton Senior High School for eight years. Prior to being named Interim of CBECCHS, she was the assistant principal at the Star Academy, an alternative high school in Harnett County Schools, where she supported students on accelerated and non-traditional learning pathways.
Tucker-Young holds a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences (Early Intervention) from Winthrop University, a Master of Education in Divergent Learning from Columbia College, and a School Administration certification from Gardner-Webb University.
