Dana Fusco Named Principal of Andrews Elementary

(Georgetown, SC) – Georgetown County School District is pleased to announce that Dana Fusco has been named Principal of Andrews Elementary School, effective July 1, 2025. Fusco has served as the Interim Principal since July 2024 and brings more than 20 years of experience in education to the permanent role.

Since joining Georgetown County School District in 2021, Fusco has played an integral role in the Andrews Elementary community, first as Assistant Principal and then as Interim Principal. Her prior experience includes serving as a teacher, curriculum coach, and administrator in the Sumter School District.

"Dana Fusco has demonstrated consistent leadership, dedication, and a student-centered approach during her time at Andrews Elementary,” said Dr. Bethany A. Giles, Superintendent of Georgetown County School District. “Her ability to build relationships, focus on academic achievement, and create a positive school culture makes her the ideal leader to continue leading the Panda family.” 

Fusco expressed her excitement about continuing to serve the Andrews community in this new capacity.

"I am honored to serve as the Principal of Andrews Elementary,” said Fusco. "Putting students first is our top priority, I look forward to continuing our work together to foster a positive, nurturing, and academically focused school environment.  We Are One! "

Fusco holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in educational leadership. Her leadership style emphasizes collaboration, high expectations, and continuous growth for both students and staff.
