The Brown’s Ferry Elementary School Marching Band proudly represented Georgetown County School District at the South Carolina School Boards Association (SCSBA) Annual Convention, held February 20–22 in Myrtle Beach. The students performed on Saturday, February 22, as part of the convention’s featured student performances.
Student performances are a highlight of the annual convention, providing districts across the state an opportunity to showcase the talent and dedication of their students. The Brown’s Ferry Elementary Marching Band delivered an outstanding performance that reflected both musical excellence and the many hours of preparation invested by students and staff.

“Our students represented Georgetown County School District with pride,” said Superintendent Dr. Bethany A. Giles. “Performances like this demonstrate the commitment, hard work, and opportunity that exist in our schools every day. They also reflect our district’s strong commitment to both the arts and academics, ensuring students have access to well-rounded educational experiences that support creativity, discipline, and achievement. We are incredibly proud of these students and grateful to the educators who support and inspire them.”
The district extends its appreciation to the students, directors, school staff, and families who supported the performance and helped make the event a success. Their efforts not only highlighted the strong arts programs within GCSD but also served as a wonderful representation of the district for educators and school board members from across South Carolina.
Georgetown County School District is proud of the Brown’s Ferry Elementary Marching Band and the way they represented their school community and #TeamGCSD on a statewide stage.
