GCSD Celebrates Student Creativity at Annual Superintendent’s Art Awards

Georgetown County School District recognized the artistic achievements of its students during the annual Superintendent’s Art Awards, held last night in the McInville Auditorium at Georgetown High School.

The event featured a wide array of student artwork from schools across the District, highlighting the creativity, talent, and hard work of students at all grade levels. From detailed drawings and paintings to mixed media pieces, the exhibit reflected both technical skill and imaginative expression.

The Superintendent’s Art Awards provide an opportunity each year to celebrate student artists and recognize excellence in visual arts education throughout Georgetown County School District. The event is a longstanding tradition that showcases student work and honors the contributions of art educators who help cultivate these talents.

Families, teachers, administrators, and community members attended the event to view the artwork and celebrate the accomplishments of participating students.

Georgetown County School District remains committed to supporting the arts as part of a well-rounded education, aligning with the District’s focus on the “A” for Arts as one of its core pillars.
