💛 Yellowjacket Homecoming Update 🖤 AHS has been receiving many calls and emails about Homecoming events. We thank you for your passion and excitement! Every year the staff of AHS takes pride in hosting a great Homecoming Experience for our students and community to showcase our Yellow Jacket pride. As of now, no official decision has been made by GCSD regarding canceling the tailgate. AHS Administration is working with GCSD to ensure a positive safe experience for students and families. We know tailgating has become a beloved Yellowjacket tradition that brings our community together year after year. It’s more than just a gathering, it’s a celebration of who we are. Once a final decision is made, an update will be provide by the Dr. Mahone, Principal. No matter what, everyone is always welcome to be part of the very best Homecoming Experience in GCSD and all the traditions that make being a Yellowjacket so special. Let’s continue to show the pride, spirit, and unity that define our incredible Andrews community. Senior year is here, and with it comes some amazing privileges that make this final chapter extra special. One of the coolest perks is decorating your very own parking spot! 🎉
That’s right, only seniors get the honor of turning their parking space into a canvas of creativity, personality, and school spirit. And we’re making it official with our annual Paint the Lot event!

🗓️ Date: Saturday August 23rd
🕗 Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Location: Student Parking Lot

Bring your brushes, rollers, and all the paint you need. Supplies and paint will NOT be provided. Come ready to create something fun, meaningful, and totally unique to YOU.
☔ In case of rain, a make-up date will be scheduled.

Students who attend the first 5 days of school will earn a Kona Ice Party, and those with perfect attendance for the first 10 days will be invited to a Ten-Day Tailgate! Let’s start strong!
