*Seniors who are College and/or Career Ready – These students have shown focus, drive, and determination as they prepare to take the next step after graduation.
*Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors will receive the Scholastic Letter Award – We’re proud to reintroduce this award to recognize students with a 4.0 UGPA or higher at the end of 3rd Qtr and no FAs.

At the May 6 Board Meeting, Georgetown County School District proudly recognized the 2025 recipients of the Dr. Celeste Pringle Turnaround Achievement Award.
Now in its second year, this award celebrates students who have demonstrated exceptional growth—academically, socially, or personally—through perseverance, improved performance, and positive contributions to their school communities.
Each student selected for this honor met the criteria of strong academic standing, excellent attendance, and positive behavior, embodying what it means to “turn it around” and succeed.

Mr. Clemons Power Equipment 1 class are at work learning the parts of a small engine. Students disassemble the engine, identify and label each part to be placed in individual bags. Before reassembly, they will have to describe the use and purpose of each part. Students use their online manual to identify the parts.





As we enter the final month of the school year, please remind your students to attend seat time. If a student has exceeded the state-allowed number of unexcused absences. Below is the process for students to recover absences beyond ten absences in semester courses and five absences in quarter courses. Please review it carefully and contact your student's guidance counselor or myself if you have any questions.
WHAT CAN I DO TO EARN BACK TIME FROM UNEXCUSED ABSENCES?
Seat Time will only be offered on Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm and Tuesdays from 3:30pm to 5:30pm
The cost is $10 per Session. NO REFUNDS!!!
The student and parent must sign a contract and pay Ms. Skipper
The student and parent must complete the Seat Time Contract before the End of the Day on Friday.
Also, Saturday School Tutoring:
AHS offers tutoring on Saturday from 9am to 12pm. Please encourage your student to attend if they are in danger of failing.

Senior showcase begins May 1st. We will be hanging senior posters down our main hallway to showcase our seniors and their achievements!
