These Student Council members shared with students from all over the state of South Carolina in their efforts to show leadership skills and support for each other as the candidates campaigned for state offices During the South Carolina Student Council State Conference.
These students were able to experience what bigger schools Student Councils were doing through their commit to their schools events, and their community engagements. These students were able to be exposed as to what Student Council members and collaborate with other school seeing what they are doing throughout the state of South Carolina.

On March 11, our students proudly represented Georgetown County at 4-H State Legislative Day, engaging with leaders and learning the power of their voices. Then on March 17, they put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test at the 4-H Engineering Challenge!

Sources of Strength is a best practice, evidence-based suicide prevention and mental health promotion program. They provide exceptional training and curriculum for both youth and adults, using a Strength-based, upstream approach to prevent adverse outcomes like suicide, violence, bullying, and substance misuse, while promoting resiliency, help-seeking, healthy coping, and belonging.
Auditions are coming up for the Summer BEACH Visual Art, Choral Music, and Drama programs!
Students who will be rising 6th–12th graders are invited to audition on Tuesday, April 14 at Georgetown Middle School.

Students accepted into the program will participate June 2–4, June 8–11, and June 15–18 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each day.
For audition preparation:
• Art: Bring 4 artwork pieces, complete a drawing, and participate in a short interview
• Drama: Perform a 2–3 minute monologue, oral reading, or verbal improvisation
• Music: Perform a solo and complete a simple rhythm exercise

This is a friendly reminder that Wednesday, March 11 is an Early Dismissal Day. ⏰
Carvers Bay Middle STEAM Academy will dismiss at 1:15 PM, so please make plans to receive your Bear(s) a little earlier than usual tomorrow.
On Thursday, 8th grade families are invited to visit Carvers Bay Early College and Career High School to learn about course offerings and the registration process at 6pm.
On Friday, we will celebrate Pi Day! Students can pay $2 to pie a teacher in the face. Students will also be able to pay $1 for slices of pie during lunch. Let's have some Pi Day fun!
Starting tomorrow students will be able to pay $5 to attend the March Madness Basketball activity scheduled for March 20th during 6th period. Students can purchase wristbands during lunch from Beta Club members. If a student wants to play on a March Madness team then their fee is only $3.
