Note from Mrs. Nikki Ewing GKCU:
First CU Save the Date in 2026. I also have the remainder of the school dates below (I’ll still send reminder flyers each month, but thought this might help with planning too). If I need to change any dates, just let me know.
From all of us at GKCU, we extend our happiest of holiday wishes and thoughts for a restful and joyful winter break. We appreciate ALL that you do for your students, parents and community. We value our partnership with you and look forward to coming back in January, renewed, refreshed and ready to finish the 2026 year strong! If we can be of assistance to you or your school family, please reach out. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

One thing for certain and two things for sure… 💙🐾
When it comes to BIG BLUE this season, WE SHOW OUT — real bad (bad as in GOOD 😮🔥)
When I say LET ‘EM COOK, we weren’t playing… 🥩🦞
Steak, lobster, and filet mignon were on the menu!
The Bulldogs stepped into the Cobras’ Cave yesterday and let’s just say… bon appétit 😋
What stood out the most was the sportsmanship shown by our basketball players 👏🏀
Great game all around, and we’re looking forward to keeping that same energy when they come to the BIG BLUE DOG HOUSE 💪🐶

From Ms. Weissmeier's Desk:
I've attached the flyers for the holiday yearbook sale (who wouldn't want a GMS yearbook for the holidays!) and the flyer for yearbook ads. Yearbook ads are due January 19th, which is a hard deadline by Jostens. Most commonly they are a big deal for 8th grade parents and some last year got upset they couldn't place an ad order after the deadline. If you could post about that on Facebook it would be much appreciated!
Parents can contact me at my school email eweissmeier@gcsd.k12.sc.us for any help they may need with the ads or purchasing a yearbook.
Thank you so much!

Mrs. Sumpter: Hey, Number 22, what ya gonna do?
Hot off the press from Mr. Barron's Desk:
Last night, the boys defeated Carvers Bay 73-6. The team is 2-0 in conference (County) play. Thank you to all of the fans, staff members, and everyone who helped make our very first home game of the season special.
Shout out to Zayvion Campbell (7th Grade), he got "another one" - his second game ball of the year. Zayvion set the tempo of the game from the very beginning and listened to his coaches under pressure. We are so proud of him!
We will travel to Waccamaw on Monday.
