After careful review of applications, grades, and teacher recommendations, a group of outstanding students has been selected to serve as the GMS Student Council Cohort of 2026–2027.
These students demonstrated leadership, responsibility, character, and a commitment to making our school even better. We are incredibly proud of the effort shown by every student who applied.

The High School Band Director has announced an exciting opportunity for our students! There will be a Color Guard Clinic and Drumline Clinic coming up soon, and it’s the perfect chance for students to learn new skills, meet other band members, and see what all the band excitement is about.
If you are interested in participating, Mr. Bailey is the contact person here at GMS. He will have the registration forms available and will collect them once they are completed.
💲 Clinic Fee: $10
Now listen… if you’ve ever been tapping on the lunch table, beating on the desk, or drumming on pots and pans at home… 👀 this might be your calling! Your parents might actually be happy to see you drum somewhere other than in the kitchen. 😂

Our Bulldogs had the chance to compete in the Coastal Carolina High School Math Competition — and yes, you read that right… MIDDLE SCHOOLERS stepping into a HIGH SCHOOL math arena! 😮 Last year we brought home the WIN 🏆 and while we came up a little short this time, we are still beyond proud of our students for showing up and showing out.
Because let’s be real… math will really humble you real quick — one minute it’s 2 + 2, next thing you know they're asking you to find the square root of your confidence... MATH IS TOUGH. 🤣
