Dear Parent/Guardian, We are excited to invite your child to participate in our High-Impact After-School Tutoring Program, which is designed specifically for selected 6th and 7th-grade students who would benefit from additional academic support. This program provides focused instruction in core subject areas to help students build confidence, close learning gaps, and improve classroom performance using APEX learning. Program Details: ●Grades Served: 6th and 7th Grade ●Days: Monday through Thursday (April 29, 2025- May 22, 2025. ●Time: 3:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. ●Location: Georgetown Middle School ●Transportation & Snacks: Provided ●Attendance Policy: Students may not exceed three absences to remain enrolled in the program ●Academic Expectations: Students are expected to complete assigned work and maintain at least 60% proficiency in their tutoring tasks Please complete the registration form using the QR code on the attached flyer or return the paper copy to the school by Thursday, April 17, 2025. Bulldog Families - Each year the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) administers an anonymous survey to collect information on how parents/guardians feel about their child’s school. Our GMS athletes held their own! 💪🐾 👧🏽 Girls team represented with pride! 👦🏽 Boys team finished 3rd overall! 🥉 Here are some 🔥 highlights from our GMS stars: ⭐ Jackson Smalls – Just missed a medal in the 800m but crushed it with a STRONG kick to take 4th place 💥 ⭐ Larrian “2 Mile” Dingle – Lived up to the nickname! Dear Bulldog Family, It is hard to believe that our 8th graders will be moving on to high school in a few months. We would like to honor our students with a series of events to prepare for this momentous occasion. If your student has not completed an IGP Conference, please contact Mr. Nicklaus Cox at the school. Our Eighth-Grade Promotion Ceremony will occur on Thursday, May 29, 2025, in the GMS Gymnasium. Students with last names beginning with A-J will have a ceremony at 9:00 a.m., and students with last names starting with K-Z will have a ceremony at 11:00 a.m. Only students who have passed all four content area classes (English, Math, Social Studies, and Science) will be allowed to participate. As we celebrate this momentous occasion, please adhere to the following guidelines: • This is a ticketed event (4 per student). Any person older than 3 years old must have a ticket to be admitted. Students will receive tickets on Wednesday, May 28, during rehearsal. • Appropriate dress (business casual) is recommended for students and guests. There is no color scheme recommendation for this event. We are so excited to mark this milestone in our students' continuous journey of success.
