Our Golden Apple Award Winner for the month of February is Officer Javier Castro. Officer Castro serves as the proud SRO of KES each day, and he is doing an amazing job of protecting and serving our school! Officer Castro ensures that our school is safe by walking our campus throughout the day and monitoring all activity. He ensures that doors and gates are closed and locked and all spaces are secured. Officer Castro does his job with a smile! He loves children and people. He is truly a superstar in our eyes, and we could not be the great school we are without him. Congratulations Officer Castro on being selected as our Golden Apple Award Winner for the month of February! You are amazing!

The KES Special Abilities Team participated in the Polar Plunge last weekend to help raise money for the Special Olympics!

We couldn't forget to mention our RBHS Counselor, Mrs. Stephanie Clark, who also helps counsel the koalas at KES! We so appreciate all of our counselors and the hard work they do every day!

Koalas Families, mark your calendars- PreK Registration is coming soon! The registration dates for Kensington will take place on February 22nd (1:00 PM - 6:00 PM) and February 23rd (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM). A translator will be available on February 23rd for families needing assistance. We can't wait to see you!



Happy National School Counselors Week to two of the BEST from KES! On Wednesday, students can wear a hat, because school counselors wear many different hats. On Thursday, koalas can wear pink or green to represent our counselors' favorite colors. Please help us celebrate Mrs. Britton-Greene and Mrs. Cooper this week!!

The Spelling Bee at Kensington on Tuesday was such an exciting event for our fifth graders to watch! Congratulations to all participants and winners!

Congratulations to all of the Koalas selected for our December and January Character Words of the Month! Our December word was Honesty, and our January word is Respect. We are so proud of you!

Congratulations to all of our Koalas who made Principals Honor Roll and Honor Roll for the 1st and 2nd Nine Weeks of school! We were able to celebrate these students last Wednesday during the Terrific Kids Assemblies!
