Dear Cobra Families,
This morning, Rosemary Middle School was briefly evacuated out of an abundance of caution due to a faint gas smell detected in the building. At the request of the Andrews Fire Department, we safely evacuated students and staff so emergency personnel could thoroughly investigate the source of the odor.
Students remained outside for approximately 20 minutes while the building was checked. The fire department and GCSD’s Facilities Department found no concerns; therefore, we received clearance to return to normal operations.
As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We appreciate the cooperation of our students and staff during the evacuation and thank the Andrews Fire Department for their quick response and support.

Food Truck Thursday was a great success! RMS celebrated Black History Month with 4 food trucks serving soul food and desserts. Our students and surrounding community members were able to order from the food trucks. They thoroughly enjoyed every minute!!

Our B-Team boys’ basketball team finished the regular season with a 7-3 record. Next Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., they will travel to Johnsonville to play Hemingway Middle School in the Black Mingo Conference tournament. Show your support for our student athletes by coming out.
