April is recognized across South Carolina as the Month of the Military Child, honoring students whose parents serve and protect our country. As part of this statewide recognition, Georgetown County School District has designated Wednesday, April 22 as our day to celebrate our military-connected students. We invite all faculty, staff, students, and community members to wear purple tomorrow as part of “Purple Up! For Military Kids.” This is a simple but meaningful way to show appreciation and support. Our rescheduled School Improvement Council (SIC) meeting will take place in person at 5:30 PM at Andrews High School. This one-hour meeting is open to the community and is designed to foster collaboration with community partners to strengthen our school and enhance student success. Congratulations to the following students, they will be recognized this evening at the Academic Scholars Recognition prior to the GCSD Board Meeting. The purpose of the GCSD Academic Scholars Ceremony is to recognize those high school seniors who have a combined score of 1200 or more on the SAT and/or 25 or more on the ACT.
