
Our very own Samiyah Holloway received the 24-25 Good Citizen Award and Scholarship from the Winyah Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was honored alongside four other local high school students during a ceremony on Wednesday, March 19th. Congratulations Samiyah!! We are so proud of you!!!





Congratulations to Kymyra Anderson for being accepted into the Myrtle Beach Art show! Her work will be on display at the Myrtle Beach Art Museum from May 1-June 5th An award ceremony will be held on May 4th from 1-3pm.



AHS Learning In Action:
Mrs. Loera’s class engaged in lively student discourse while performing literary analysis in the courtyard following a visit to the media center. Students worked independently or in groups, actively discussing their ideas and strategies for answering the analysis questions.

This year FCCLA attended the 2025 State FCCLA Conference and STAR Event Competitions in Charleston, SC. It was a lot of hard work and a ball full of nerves that has afford these students the earned awards given. We are so proud of them! Congratulations on a job well done.!

On March 4th and 5th, 4 of our JAG students participated in the South Carolina Career Development Conference in West Columbia, SC. They competed in multiple competitive events such as prepared speaking, chapter display, financial literacy, theme essay.

Interested in taking college courses while still in high school? You and your parents are invited to attend an informational session on the PACE Dual Enrollment and Tech Scholar programs offered by Horry Georgetown Tech. This event will be held March 13th at 11am in our Auditorium. Two representatives from HGTC will be here to share how students could earn both high school and college credits and answer questions. Vocabulary integration: Mrs. Weisner, (our PE teacher) has designed a vocabulary poster to expose our students to commonly used words . Each week teachers will incorporate 5 words into their classroom instruction along with content related words.
