Our Carvers Bay Middle STEAM Academy Junior Beta Club has officially wrapped up our Socktober community service project. With the support of our generous students, staff, families, and community, we were able to donate over 100 pairs of socks to Georgetown Tidelands Hospice.

This project reminded our Betas of the power of kindness and the importance of serving others with compassion. Something as simple as a pair of socks can bring warmth and comfort to someone in need.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this act of service. Together, we continue to live out the Beta Club motto: Let Us Lead by Serving Others. 🧦💛❤️

Today we officially launched Red Ribbon Week with an inspiring assembly featuring Ms. Sicleana McCall, Prevention Specialist from the Georgetown County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission. 💬✨

Her motivational message reminded our students to make positive choices, stand strong, and live drug-free. 💪🏽❤️

📚✨ It’s the 3rd and final day of our Bear Book Buffet here at CBMSA! Our 6th graders are excited to see all the new books and they couldn't wait to dive into the buffet! This has been a great way to help keep, and turn our students into life-long readers! Our Media Specialist Mrs. Smith stated, "The Bear Book Buffet has been a huge success! The 4H club, green thumb club, and creative writing club attended a field trip to Moore Farms Botanical Garden.

They learned so much. They had a great day touring the greenhouses, touring the garden and talking with the horticulturalists.

✨ Unity Week reminds us to stand together against bullying, lift each other up, and celebrate kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. We’ll kick off with Marvelous Monday, Team Up Against Bullying Day, and Unity Day — where everyone is encouraged to wear orange to show our united stand!

Report cards will be available for parent pick up on Thursday, October 16 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Carvers Bay Middle STEAM Academy. We encourage families to stop by during this time to receive your student’s report card and connect with our staff.

If you cannot make it, leftover report cards will be sent home at a later date.
