Under the leadership of Coach Meta (Mada), Coach Justin, and Coach Meagan, this squad is bringing the energy, the hustle, and them HEAVY HITS! 💥🥎
And baby when I say they swinging… they SWINGING like they mean it!
From the dugout to the stands, the vibes were unmatched and the girls showed OUT! 💪🏾✨

Georgetown Middle School Band is headed back home with a SUPERIOR rating at Concert Performance Assessment — the HIGHEST score possible!!! 🏆👏🏾

Our talented Bulldogs traveled to Loris High School, where they performed in front of a panel of judges AND tackled a sight-reading evaluation — one of the toughest parts of the entire assessment! 🎼📖

And guess what… THEY. DID. THAT!!! 💪🏾💙

This is the largest assessment of the year, and our students showed up, showed out, and made BIG BLUE proud! 🐾🔥

Let’s give a HUGE congratulations to our band students and Mr. Bailey for their hard work, dedication, and excellence! 🎉🎺🥁

In addition, allowing the sale of outside food items could result in issues for the school, as it creates liability concerns that we must avoid.

Active Floor is an interactive, projector-based system that turns ordinary floors into exciting digital learning spaces. With ceiling-mounted projectors, motion-tracking cameras, and special floor mats, students can control educational games and activities using their feet and body movements. It encourages teamwork, movement, and hands-on learning all at the same time.

Now that’s what we call learning in motion at GMS! 💙

Listen… we know hearing about the dress code can get old. We promise we are not trying to ruin anyone’s fashion moment. BUT super-short shorts can be a distraction in class, and our goal is to make sure every student can focus and learn.

Let’s come to school comfortable, confident, and within dress code so we can keep the day moving without stopping instruction to make phone calls about outfits.

Because trust us… we would much rather be celebrating your success than talking about shorts and dress code.

Leadership is rising at BIG BLUE! 💙🐾

We received over 85 student applications from students who wanted to step up, lead, and represent Georgetown Middle School. After careful review of applications, grades, and teacher recommendations, a group of outstanding students has been selected to serve as the GMS Student Council Cohort of 2026–2027.

These students demonstrated leadership, responsibility, character, and a commitment to making our school even better. We are incredibly proud of the effort shown by every student who applied.

Congratulations to our newly selected Student Council members! We look forward to seeing the great ideas, leadership, and BIG BLUE spirit you will bring to Georgetown Middle School. 💙✨
