Rebecca Lambert Goes BIG for Ronald McDonald House Fundraiser Georgetown Middle School is showing once again that BIG BLUE knows how to make a difference! As Guidance Clerk Jane V. Smith prepared for the school’s Ronald McDonald House fundraiser, she began getting everything ready for students and staff to collect tabs to support the Ronald McDonald House and the families they serve. While Jane was preparing for the fundraiser, a student walking by expressed interest in participating. That student was Rebecca Lambert. Rebecca didn’t just participate—she went BIG! Since learning about the fundraiser, Rebecca has brought in an impressive amount of tabs, quickly becoming a standout contributor to the school’s collection effort. Her willingness to step up and support a great cause is a wonderful example of how one student can make a big impact. “Don’t be surprised,” because this is just how we do things at the BLUE! 💙 Rebecca’s efforts are helping BIG BLUE work toward its goal of collecting tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. The fundraiser is a great reminder that even something as small as a tab can become part of something much bigger when a school and community work together. Way to go, Rebecca! BIG BLUE is proud of you! Keep those tabs rolling in! 💙

📢 DRESS CODE REMINDER … Let’s Work Together! 📢 We’re in middle school, and this is the place where students grow, learn, and focus on their future. Lately, the dress code has become a major distraction, and we truly need your help, parents. 🙏 We don’t enjoy making calls about clothing. We’d much rather call home with positive news and celebrations. So let’s partner up to keep our focus where it belongs: on education. 📚💡 * ***No Pajamas Please 👗 Crop Tops: We’re seeing more tied-up shirts and midriffs showing. While the style is cute, it’s not appropriate for school. Please save these trendy outfits for the weekend.🙅‍♀️ Let’s make sure everything is fully covered. School is not the place for low-cut tops. 🩳 Leggings & Bodysuits: Super comfy? Yes. But without a longer top to cover up, they’re a bit too revealing for class. Let’s aim for fashionable AND school-appropriate! 👖 Shorts & Mini Skirts: Yes, it’s hot—but if your child bends over and too much is showing, it's too short for school. If you can feel the breeze, please don’t wear it. 😉 Let’s keep those cheeks in check! 👖 For the Boys: Sagging is still showing up, and so is underwear. Let’s keep it respectful and remind our young men to keep it classy and pull those pants up! We don’t wear any Hats or Hoods in the building. 💬 These dress code reminders are not about policing style. They're about minimizing distractions and creating a space where all students can succeed. We want our students to feel confident AND focused. 💙 Thank you for teaming up with us to keep our school environment respectful, positive, and focused on learning. We can’t do it without you! ✨

📚✨ Blackout Poetry at GMS! ✨📚 Ms. Cox (Media Center Specialist) & Ms. Weissmeier (6th Grade Teacher) led an amazing lesson on Blackout Poetry 🎨✍️! Our students got creative by taking discarded library books 📖 and turning them into works of art! They: ✅ Picked a random page ✅ Boxed words that stood out 💡 ✅ Created a unique poem & artwork 🎭 ✅ Repurposed old books to give them new life 🌱♻️ Way to go, Bulldogs! 🐾👏 Who’s ready to make more poetry magic? ✨🔥 #GMSBlackoutPoetry #CreativeMinds #BulldogPride
