Happy World Occupational Therapist Day! Thank you, Mrs. Weatherhead, for all that you do for our KES students.


Our K-Kids are working on their first Service Project of the school year, "Nickels for North Carolina". They are raising money for those affected by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. Donations are being accepted through November 1st.


Congratulations to Quinn Giesler! Quinn won 4th place out of over 300 participants for the “I voted” sticker design contest for grades K-12. Go KES Koala!🐨🐨🐨


Today was our United Way Clemson/Carolina Fundraiser Day! Students placed money in the Clemson or Carolina jar to cast their vote for their favorite team. Our admins will wear the jersey of the winning team! We can't wait to find out who wins! All proceeds will go to United Way.







Kensington Elementary participated in Unity Day today by wearing Orange. Unity Day sends a message to build commUNITY through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to prevent bullying.





Reminder: KES School picture day is tomorrow. Please do not dress your child in green since the photographer will be using a green screen to add in a background later.

We are so thankful to have Mrs. Coker as our Instructional Coach. We celebrated her for National Instructional Coaches' Day.


Our Instructional Assistants have been celebrated this week with having lunch provided to them for National Teacher Assistants' Day, which was last Friday, September 27th. Thanks to Hurricane Helene, we had to put off their celebration to today.


KES celebrated our wonderful Custodial Team today for National Custodian Appreciation Day. Thank you for all that you do on our school grounds, in the classrooms, and the Koala Café.


Be sure to attend National Night Out for a fun evening for our community. There will be a lot of fun activities along with FREE food and drinks.

Progress Reports will go home on Monday, September 30th rather than today.

Due to expected inclement weather as a result of Hurricane Helene, and in consultation with Georgetown County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service, Friday, September 27, 2024, will be an eLearning day for Georgetown County School District.
Students in Pre-K - 2nd grade will receive learning packets. Students in grades 3-12 will be assigned lessons through Google Classroom. Teachers should post assignments no later than 8 a.m. on Friday, September 27. In order to be marked present for the eLearning days, students must turn in their assignments no later than Wednesday, October 2. In the event there are power or Wi-Fi outages, extensions to the due date will be announced.
